Praise be to God, the Central Pharmacy for Kidney Transplant Medications has resumed operations. Since its establishment on 15/3/2010, it has served as a lifeline for thousands of patients. This comes after a three-year interruption marked by suffering, anxiety, and serious health risks due to difficulties in accessing immunosuppressant's medications for various reasons.

Today, with the resumption of services, confidence is being restored and reassurance is returning to kidney transplant patients. The pharmacy is now serving all Sudanese Kidney post-transplant patients, with the state covering the cost of these vital medications and providing them free of charge—demonstrating a clear commitment to safeguarding patients’ lives and ensuring the continued success of transplant procedures.

This resumption represents a significant achievement and a major step toward strengthening health equity, reducing the burden on patients and their families, and enhancing the sustainability of kidney transplant services in Sudan—preserving lives and upholding human dignity.

With the grace and success of God, 72 hemodialysis chairs have been distributed in the first phase across the states of Sudan:

• Red Sea State
• Northern State
• Khartoum State
• Al Jezirah State
• Sennar State
• River Nile State

Work is still ongoing to update, rehabilitate, and develop all dialysis centers across Sudan.

Registration of patients has begun preparing to issue transplant patient ID cards, in preparation for starting the distribution of immunosuppressant's medications.

We would like to thank all the Companies and Ministries that provided support for this important step toward stabilizing the country, enabling patients to return, and continuing the development of all services related to kidney diseases and surgery—namely the Ministry of Finance, the National Medical Supplies Fund, and pharmaceutical and medical consumables companies.

The National Center for Kidney Diseases and Surgery is pleased to announce the opening of the central pharmacy for the distribution of kidney post-transplant medications and the launch of the first phase of distributing dialysis chairs to the various states of Sudan.

Work will continue, God willing, to rehabilitate and develop all centers affected by the brutal aggression, as well as to enhance all services in dialysis and kidney transplant centers.
